Rockfish and Ling Cod:
The ocean floor just north of Westport is home to a large rockfish and ling cod population. As a result, there is a nice long season that runs seven days per week from the middle of March through the middle of October. People of all ages and skill levels enjoy this trip, and it is usually the best trip for beginners. The limit on rockfish is 10 per person, and the limit on ling cod is 2 per person. If you are looking for lots of action, then this is the trip for you.

Salmon:
Catching a salmon on the ocean is an absolute thrill. Every time you put your line down there is a chance of catching either a nice King or a hard fighting Silver. These fish are really unpredictable, which makes them so much fun. We have all the equipment you need, and even if you have never fished before, you will have a great time because we will be there helping you every step of the way. The season typically opens around July 1, and some years when there are lots of fish, we will have an early Kings only season in May or June. The season information will be posted here when it is annouced by the state in April.

Halibut/Bottomfish:
Out at the edge of the continental shelf, down between 500 and 700 feet there is a large migratory Pacific Halibut population. This trip leaves extra early to make up for the additional traveling required. The places we fish are between 25 and 50 miles from home, but it is totally worth it to be able to catch one of what many people consider the best eating fish in the ocean. Pulling a big one up from the bottom in 600 feet can be a lot of work, but don't let that discourage you because the work will be worth it for you when you pull a nice halibut into the boat. If halibut fishing is good and time and weather permit, we will also go fishing for bottomfish on the way home. The halibut season is on a quota, so there are a very limited number of fishing dates. We recommend that you book as early as possible for halibut trips.

Albacore Tuna:
Clear blue water with water temperatures in the low 60 degree range. It's a whole different world out there in the tuna grounds, and an experience you will never forget. These migratory albacore travel in large schools and pound for pound are one of the hardest fighting fish you will ever catch. We troll tuna jigs to locate the fish, but this trip is all about catching Albacore on live bait. It is common to get the fish worked into a frenzy and have everyone on the boat landing an albacore at the same time. This trip typically takes us from 30 to 80 miles from home, so we leave at night and spend the night driving, getting to the fishing grounds by daylight. There is a good chance, that this will be the most exciting fishing you have ever seen in your life.
